Anna-Karin Johansson is a visual artist making sculptural work in the tradition of glass arts and craft and sculpture. The work often focuses on the relation between the viewers body and intellectual context in relation to the material she uses. There is a tradition om using glass and mirrors in our constructed surrounding, such as architecture and interior design. When the idea of the material is pushed in a different direction it can bring up new philosophical thoughts regarding oneself and the body we inhabit. In its turn this raise questions about how we interact with other bodies around us.
